Allbirds Natural Run Collection
The Allbirds Natural Run collection was a testament to their commitment to sustainability and performance. We strived to create a run collection that seamlessly blended preferred natural fibers, reduced carbon footprint, and unparalleled performance. By utilizing innovative blends of merino and Tencel alongside recycled polyester, we successfully achieved balance. Working hand in hand, we cultivated a collection that reflects Allbird’s unwavering pride and reflects their shared dedication to sustainable practices. With Allbird's Natural Run Collection, we didn’t want to choose between style, performance, or sustainability.
We focused our design language to mirror Allbirds' iconic reductive design approach pulling inspiration from Bauhaus design and an industrial design mindset .
Some examples within the product became the signature T back where we employed CB seams and Yolks strategically to enhance fit and reduce waste. I also wanted to pay homage to Allbirds' signature textures, so we incorporated a two-color performance mesh, which beautifully mimics the dasher knit. I also utilized Allbirds' actual shoe laces as drawcords on the shorts to further bring it all together.
